Traveling to the Swiss Alps and Mt. Pilatus in Switzerland
From Italy we went on to our next destination Switzerland to visit the Swiss Alps, Lake Lucerne, and the City of Zurich. Then our tour group proceeded to travel to the Swiss Alps where we visited Mt. Pilatus and rode the train up to the top of the mountain and where we basked in the sunshine, it was only autumn so there was no skiing yet.
It is a mountain overlooking Lake Lucerne in Central Switzerland and it is composed of several summits of which the highest is named Tomlishorn. Another summit named Esel lies just over the railway station.
We visited the Swiss Alps when we were in Switzerland. We took the train that traveled on just one rail up to Mount Pilatus and from one side of Swiss Alps we traveled to the top of Mt. Pilatus. Since there was only one rail being used, one train should have the right of way to proceed while the other train stays on the reserved rail that splits to let one train wait by the side. When we finished our tour of Mt.Pilatus, we took the red cable car called Gondola on our way back to town.
